About

After completing a Master’s degree in Immunology and Immuno-Engineering at Aix-Marseille University, I joined the laboratory of Dr. Mauro Gaya at the Centre d’Immunologie de Marseille-Luminy (CIML) for my Master’s research project and subsequently carried out my PhD in Immunology in the same laboratory (2021–2025). During my PhD, I investigated the cellular and anatomical mechanisms governing the generation, localisation and long-term persistence of plasma cells following respiratory viral infection. My work focused particularly on the mechanisms sustaining plasma cell niches in the lung and their contribution to long-term mucosal protection. This research involved the study of lung-resident plasma cells using flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, single-cell RNA sequencing and functional approaches.
