Projet : Reality

Foxp3+ regulatory T cells (Tregs) are crucial players in the control of chronic autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. Indeed, functional or quantitative defects of Tregs have been associated with numerous autoimmune pathologies in humans. Their stimulation represents a promising therapeutic strategy for treating these diseases. The identification of target molecules to increase the expansion and suppressive activity of Tregs is therefore of primary interest in therapy. In immunotherapy, cellular activation can be achieved either by inducing a positive signal or by removing an inhibitory checkpoint, as evidenced by recent successes in immuno-oncology.

This project aims to identify innovative, previously unexplored strategies, consisting of removing inhibitory barriers to their activation in order to increase their suppressive capacity.
