Sebastien JAEGER
About
Sébastien Jaeger is a senior research engineer at the CNRS, co-head of CB2M (Computational Biology, Biostatistics & Modeling). Initially trained in physics and applied mathematics (PhD in theoretical physics), he has more than twenty years of experience in computational biology and immunology, working at the interface between physics, mathematics, and biology (especially immunology). These interests are oriented towards mathematical modeling and fundamental biophysics. Coming from the field of dynamical systems in physics, he is particularly interested in dynamic phenomena in biology and explores immunological systems and issues through formal approaches.
Career
Energy Mechanics Engineer (IUSTI, now Polytech, 1999)
Doctorate in theoretical physics (Centre for theoretical physics in Marseille, 2002)
Postdoctorate in bioinformatics at the Laboratory of Genetics and Physiology of Development (LGPD) then at the Institute of Developmental Biology of Marseille (IBDM)
Research engineer at CIML (2005)
Recruitment as a statutory research engineer (CNRS) at CIML (2006)
Creation in 2009 of CB2M, of which he has been responsible since (co-responsible since 2025).
