About
Hussein Hamade is a researcher in immunology and gastroenterology, specializing in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and intestinal fibrosis. After completing a PhD at the University of Strasbourg on the links between inflammation and colorectal cancer, he continued his scientific career at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he studied the role of immune cells, microbiota, and intestinal epithelium in homeostasis and metabolic pathologies. His work contributes to a better understanding of the etiology of IBD and its complications. He is currently conducting his research at the Marseille-Luminy Immunology Center (CIML), where he analyzes the interactions between fibroblasts, immune cells, and chronic inflammation to elucidate the mechanisms of intestinal fibrosis and pave the way for new therapeutic approaches.
