About

I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from UADE University (Buenos Aires, Argentina). My bachelor's thesis focused on the immunomodulatory and regenerative effects of IMT504 on type 1 diabetes and was carried out at the Institute of Experimental Biology and Medicine (IBYME).

After graduating, I decided to deepen my knowledge in bioinformatics and began working as a research assistant at the Institute of Biological Chemistry (IQUIBICEN) at the University of Buenos Aires. During this time, I investigated alterations in gene expression that could play a role in disease prognosis in prostate cancer or COVID-19 positive patients. In addition, I also developed an internal tool for the laboratory to quickly assess differential gene expression across multiple datasets.

I started my PhD at CIML in March 2022, where My research focuses on understanding the interplay between metabolic and epigenetic reprogramming in immune cells infiltrating glioblastoma tumors. These two processes are profoundly altered in cancer and have a significant impact on the ability of immune cells to mount an effective anti-tumor response. An important part of my thesis focuses on the development of the Epic-SCENITH method, which allows the simultaneous study of metabolism and epigenetics.
In 2025, I received fourth-year funding from ARC to complete my thesis project.
