About
Bilal El Waly is a researcher specializing in the mechanisms of central nervous system (CNS) repair, with particular expertise in neuroinflammation and glial cell biology. His multidisciplinary approach combines genetic models and advanced intravital imaging techniques to dissect in real-time the complex interactions between the nervous and immune systems. His current research aims to understand how peripheral sensory neurons regulate neuroinflammation in order to identify new therapeutic targets for demyelinating and neurodegenerative diseases.
