À propos

I am an engineer in Biotechnology with an MSc and PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology. I completed my PhD in the laboratory of Prof. Fabiola Osorio at the University of Chile, where I studied the role of the Unfolded Protein Response sensor IRE1α in regulating tumor-associated conventional dendritic cells (cDCs).

In 2024, I joined CIML as a postdoctoral fellow. My main project focuses on the immunometabolic and epigenetic characterization of sepsis patients, with the goal of identifying markers and mechanisms that could help predict the immune dysregulation syndrome affecting sepsis survivors. This work is part of the BEATsep consortium (https://www.beatsepsis.eu/), a collaborative effort involving several laboratories and clinicians in an interdisciplinary and big-data approach to address the long-term immunological consequences of sepsis.
